I'm a computer science undergraduate at Purdue University and a software engineer who likes working low-level. Though I prefer systems work, I've still shipped various full-stack projects, go check some out!

What I'm doing now

Currently a software engineering inntern at Text Blaze (YC W21), shipping features to production (check out my blogs!). Academically, I'm a CS junior @ Purdue in the systems software & security tracks. The two most relevant courses I'm taking this Fall are Operating Systems and Computer Networks. I also have several crazy ambitious projects I'm working on for my YouTube channel that's almost at 10k subs.

Where I'm heading

Right now I'm strongly interested in systems engineering: operating systems and Linux internals, networking, embedded and firmware work, performance/distributed engineering, etc.

Faisal's Devlog

I run Faisal's Devlog, a programming YouTube channel with almost 10,000 subscribers. I've made somewhat short, retention-focused videos in the past, but I'm looking to start a new chapter for my channel with longer and more technically-focused content.
